The water is crystal clear. It’s a bit eerie because you are in a cave and it’s kind of humid and dripping water from the stalactites over head. Cenotes can be dangerous because they have currents, but this one had a very shallow area and the kids were always in hand. It was quite hot, so swimming on it was a real treat. Outside there is this very good restaurant with regional food, and open space for kids to roam around. So after a refreshing dip we emerged into the sun, sat down under a shady palapa and ate a delicious meal. There was a garden nearby and we picked oranges and ate them for dessert.
